What are the Governors’ Responsibilities?
The Governors are ultimately responsible for the overall management of the school. They are required to meet for a minimum of 3 times each year, but in practice they meet more than this.
Some of their duties include
- The oversight of the curriculum
- The control of the school budget
- Providing parents with information
- The selection of staff
- Maintenance of school premises (a shared responsibility with the Southern Education & Library Board)
- The Admissions Policy
- Fostering links with the local community and pursuing objectives of mutual understanding
